Wilderness House Literary Review Call for Fiction

The submission period for this issue closes Aug. 30, 2009.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions must be in electronic form. Our preference is an MS Word file sent as an attachment.
Short fiction may be submitted in three formats:
1. very short stories less than 500 words in length
2. short stories less than 1000 words in length
3. Short stories that do not fit the above should be less than 5000 words.

Published works are welcome with proper attribution. We nominate for awards such as the Pushcart and like anthologies.

Sweet Call for Submission

Sweet seeks only poetry and creative nonfiction and anything in between. (Sorry fiction writers!)

Past contributors include: Lee Martin, Lee Ann Roripaugh, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, Stephen Kuusisto, Anne Panning, and many more.

We read submissions all-year. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify us immediately if your work has been taken by another literary journal. (We would like to be the first to congratulate you!). Along with your attachment, please include a brief cover letter in your email with complete contact information.

Please attach no more than 3 poems to in one Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx) document.

Creative Nonfiction
Please attach one piece of creative nonfiction (lyric essay, nature, travel, memoir, photo essay) to in a Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx) document. Essays should not exceed 3,500 words.
