The Fiddlehead’s 22nd annual literary contest!

Deadline: Postmarked by December 1st 2012


Two contest categories: poetry and short fiction.

Prizes in each category: $2000 for winner +

publication payment and $250 for 2 honourable mentions + publication payment.

Winning entries will be published in the spring 2013 issue of The Fiddlehead (no. 255) and on the website.

One short-fiction entry is one story (6,000 words maximum).

One poetry entry is up to 3 poems; no more than 100 lines per poem.

No simultaneous submissions and no previously published works.

Do not put name on the work(s) submitted; send cover page that includes contact information,

the entry’s title(s) and contest category. All entries must be submitted by mail.

Entry Fee: $30 for an entry from Canada and $36 for an international entry.

The entry fee includes a one-year subscription to The Fiddlehead.
